Red Dollar is a bull that we have used extensively in the stud through the 1990s and still today through AI. His daughters are some of the outstanding females in the herd. They are very long, feminine, fertile females with good udders and exceptional longevity. Penne-E-Rama is an outstanding polled sire breeding red on red and grey on grey. He has a faultless temperament and is predominately Australian bloodlines. We have been very impressed with his progeny. A son, Fairy Springs Penne-e-Royal was one of the top priced polled bulls in our 07 Brahman Week draft, selling to Brett Nobbs for $40,000. We have retained Penne-e-Rama sons, Dazzler (P), Penne-e-Ramic (PP "true poll") and Penne-ance (P), all whom themselves are producing outstanding calves.

Rio Grand was selected first and foremost because of his dam's calving record. Also his dam has an udder score of 2 at the age of 14. We value a cow like this very highly. Rio Grand is a homozygous poll and this gives a great advantage over using a heterozygous poll for the fast introduction of polled genetics into a horned herd. We have his first crop of calves on the ground and are very pleased with them.

Red Comet is out of a first calf heifer that unfortunately we lost before she had a second calf but the calving history of her dam is sound and she is still in the herd at 11 years of age and had an udder score of 3 when she last calved. Red Comet's sire is out of a cow that is 14 years of age and still in the herd and has never missed a calf. This gives fertility on both sides of his pedigree.
